I don't recommend if u don't like pg 13 level violence and obliquely mentioned rape. I do recommend this book if u like typical dystopia tropes and exploring multiple post apocalyptic societal structures.

I don't recommend if u don't like children's issues and perspectives and lil consistency in characters and themes. I do recommend this book if u like a wide array of viewpoints and learning about other cultures holidays.

Diabolical keeps uu on the edge of your seat as the tension ratchets up, also makes room for genuine insight. I don't like family drama.

A well written book,  full of mystery and intrigued with entire worlds at stake. A mixture of genres,  with noticeable elements of political and espionage thrillers mixed with science fiction and alternative history.  The author definitely knows how to hook the reader from the first page.
