So Yarros is really going to shatter my heart and leave me to wait in agony for the next book? Guess she's got the brutal spirit of a rider too. 😤

Honestly, I didn't think I'd like this one as much as the first especially after reading some of the reviews. But this book is what made me really LOVE this series. It was a bit slow at first and look, Yarros is not yet a master of her craft -- yes, there are a few unnecessary scenes in her book. Yes, the dialogue has repetitive moments. Did I give it 5 stars anyway? Also yes, because it's perfect even if it's not.

Really enjoyed this. Read it if you're in the mood to get lost in another world and you want a book you can't put down! I did love the romance element too, but there were some points I felt it dragged on a bit when I would have liked to get back to the main storyline. And while I know I was supposed to hate one of the characters, he's really annoying and that did get a bit repetitive too. All that said, it was a super fun read and I definitely recommended for any fantasy romance lovers out there!
