*minor spoilers ahead*

I had high hopes for this one, but it unfortunately fell a little flat for me. While I easily breezed through this one, I also felt as if it was pretty forgettable and I wouldn’t be rushing to read this again any time soon. This is promoted as an enemies-to-lovers book, but I didn’t get much of that and all I really wanted was the tension. Something that really got to me is that I am surprised at Andie’s willingness to forgive Jack. I wouldn’t get back with someone who did something as bad as what Jack did, regardless of if he was coerced or not. This book is about grief and it really should’ve been labelled as such. I’m sure there are people out there who’ll love this book, it just personally wasn’t for me.

So tbh, Hazelwood is a hit or miss author however, I’m always willing to give her new books a go. Something I really loved about this book straight off the bat was that it’s not similar to the rest of her books. It’s still uniquely Hazelwood, but the focus isn’t STEM but actually…swimming! This book does also centre around BDSM and maybe there could’ve been more of that? But it’s honestly not something I desperately needed from this book. I am all for Hazelwood’s new spicy era.
This book is perfect for Hazelwood and sports romance fans.

I really enjoyed this book and while I guessed who the murderer could’ve been, there were somethings that just didn’t make me fully love the book.

Also why would a brother nickname is sister ‘shortcake’?
I thought it was a girlfriend at the beginning of the book and only found out that was his sister after he hooked up with the FMC.

Quick easy read that I enjoyed.

When I heard that this book is perfect for fans of Taylor Jenkins Reid, I had to read this. There is definitely that TJR element to the novel that intrigued me and it was written well. However, I felt like I wanted more to this I didn’t love the ending, but I was content with it. This was a quick and easy read though and I would say it’s a good palate cleanser.

Such an amazing and well written book!

This was a fast paced read that didn’t live up to the hype as the first two books.

First read of 2025 done and dusted!
This book was good and I loved the dynamic between West and Skylar. But this didn’t have me in the feels like the Chesnut Springs series.

This book was okay. I can see why it’s a classic though.

Loved this book.
