This book has so much potential, but I wanted more from it.
I liked Travis, really disliked Jacob (he was problematic af). The only part of the story that had some weight was the hospital scenes. This was a short book that dragged.
I love a good fake dating and competition romance, which got me really excited when reading this book. I also liked that this also included a scene from a previous part from the interconnected series (Dream Girl Drama). This was fun, spicy and a fast read. I wish Robbie grovelled a bit more at the beginning because he was a massive turd.
This book was good, but I probably would’ve preferred to read it in a different format.
This book was a cute middle grade read that deals with heavy topics like family abandonment and parentified daughter tropes well. This was easy to digest and a good read for children. I just didn’t find it super memorable.
This was a quick read (it only just took me a little longer because I was a busy girl). I really enjoyed the strong women characters and loveable F1 MMC, Chase. This is one of the F1 storylines I have really enjoyed and found the information super easy to digest. The only concern I really had was the constant break ups.
I really do not like the hacked social media trope. I know how anxious and frustrating it can be and it just left a sour taste in my mouth from the beginning of this book. In addition, the hacking involved derogatory comments that the billionaire MMC can’t prove wasn’t him that said it (even though it wasn’t), is just gross and I really don’t like misogyny and sexism being used in a book when it’s being faked. Also the description about the FMC saying she feels average but her legs are toned, she has thick hair, big eyes, a freckled nose and full lips, like how is that average?? That’s basically goals nowadays. ALSO, this book has been promoted as a workplace romance when the FMC can’t even get the interview because of the drama with the MMC (how is this a workplace romance be so for real right now). The chemistry was there and this was poorly written. The only redeeming quality about this book was it was less than 250 pages.
I quite liked this one as it gave Disney celebrity who is sent back to their home town vibes (except this time, Avery is reconnecting with her First Nations background). This was a quick read and loved the romance between Avery and Lucas. However, sometimes the writing style was frustrating to read and repetitive.
