I love a good marriage of convenience/accidental marriage trope and was so happy to see it in this book. I loved the dynamic between Stella and Thomas from the beginning and the romance that blossomed between them was *chefs kiss*. Everything about this book was perfect.

This book started off really well and I was hooked from the get go. I liked that this was a fast paced read and an easy page turner. I saw a review on GoodReads that likened this to ‘if Mecca Maxima was a cult’ and I would have to agree. I will say though, that the ending really lost me. I understand that it was meant to be left unanswered, but I would’ve liked to have had a few things tied up before it ended.

EXCUSE ME, BUT THE ENDING?!

This book has some good moments, but it also had very cringe 2018 vibes too.

Omg I loved this book so much!!

This was a quick read that I was surprised that I actually enjoyed! I was hooked from the get go and I absolutely loved the dynamic between Lydia and Luke. The goal of the marathon being the backdrop to Lydia and Luke’s second meeting and what ultimately led to them spending more time together was a unique storyline that made my borderline romance reading slump end. What I will say though, is that the third person storytelling, while done well, kinda lost me at times and I do also wish that Lydia’s crush on J was more established at the beginning and have it be a conflict for Lydia when she becomes interested in Luke would’ve actually aided in that part of the storyline. Other than that, this was a really good book.

When I realised this was Charlie’s book (but not from his POV). I requested this so quickly. I adored this book and all of its characters. This would be a perfect lazy day summer read. The only thing about this book that lost the spark for me was that it was a bit slow for me (but it could’ve been the arc format).

This is a second chance/miscommunication style book I can get behind. This is because the miscommunication occurred when the FMC’s were young adults and when they see each other 8 years later, it’s quickly communicated and they apologise (like grown adults). I loved every second of this book, everything was so mature, but spicy and also relatable. I also adored the queer representation with the FMCs and various side characters that we meet throughout.

If you want a loveable romance book, definitely check this one out.

I loved this one!

After reading Crash Into Me, I was really excited to read this one. But it did not start off well for me. There were bits and pieces throughout the book that I quite liked and thought were done well, but I need to be hooked in at the start to really like the book.
