That's not how need-based killers work 💀
Also his previous killings & behaviours indicate he is a sexual sadist, which means he feels compelled to kill throughout his life - and the victimology if children suggests that his preferential murder victims wont miraculously chhange into adults. Summer being the focus suggests that if she behaves in a way that means she isn’t submissive to his delusions / encouraging of his inveitable future murder of children, she will be his victim.
This is horror, not romance.

On that note, it was a fun read
