proof that representation DOES matter, big shout out to Alice Lin for giving us an ace protagonist and characters on the ace spectrum and doing it respectfully and naturally.

Daniel Henning once again bringing his A-game to the new entry in this series which also (once more) elavates the entire experience as an audiobook. It's still that cozy, found family story but barely adds anything new, there is new 'conflict' introduced but I didn't feel like there were any stakes (basically you know how the book ends the moment you start reading) so all in all I'm very meh about it. It's a good time but reading the first book suffices, imo.

The essays read better when you choose to deliberately read them detached from an intersectional (feminist) perspective. (we can still read these texts for what they are but put them into intersectional context later imo)
