Bossypants by Tina Fey

I have been looking at this book on the bookshelf at Target for months now. I knew I wanted to read it but I was delaying picking it up because I was worried it would not hold up to my expectations. I think that Tina Fey is a riot on TV so I was hoping the book would be just as funny.

I finally downloaded it to my iPod and listened to it while I drove around or ran on the treadmill.

I was not at all disappointed. Tina was in fact as funny on paper as she is on TV.

I recommend this book to Tina Fey fans. And if you have the ability to listen to the Audiobook, I strongly recommend that format as she reads it and they have some really funny additions such as an SNL clip.

This was just classic Becki. I realized when reading this book that I am no longer in love with the farfetched-chicklit book. But I did like taking a vacation to visit my old friend Becki and I do plan to read Minny Shopaholic at some point.

If you liked the other Shopaholic books, then this is a must read. I give it 4 stars.
What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen

I wish Sarah Dessen was writing when I was 16. My life may have been different. Then again, maybe not.

Sarah easly picks up the voice of a 17 year old girl and tells an interesting yet relatable tale from her point of view.

I have never been dissapointed by Ms. Dessen's ability to capture the reader and was very happy to still feel that way when most other chick lit and teen fiction books are just not capturing me.

As an added bonus, I love how Sarah will slip in characters and locations from past books giving me the feeling I just ran into an old friend.

I look forward to her next novel.

What an absolutely amazing story. It truly deserved the 871 pages King gifted to it.

This is the second book in the Woman's Murder Club series. The four girls are brought back together again to figure out who is killing people that appear to be connected to police officers. A good follow up the the first book!

Another fun Cozy Mystery! Sophie, a mystery writer, finds herself in the middle of a real mystery that threatens her own life. Kyra keeps the story light and funny and got me to laugh out loud a number of times, which is huge since it takes a lot to get me to do that!

I look forward to reading the other four books in the series.
