What a novel. This was such a challenging book for me personally, as my grandmother lived with and died from parkinsons. However, it was brilliantly written and done with such respect and care. The characters in this family were so well rounded and there was some development for each. There were some massive themes tackled in this book and my gosh it made you think. At the heart of this book is a story about life, relationships, love and family, but ultimately death and how we should have a say in how we die. How we should be able to to choose how we live our lives and when we want to die. How do these choices impact those around us? What are the representations of choosing our own death? Through this story we ask all of this whilst laughing, smiling and crying with the family.
