For the first 3/4 of the book I thought I was going to give it five stars. It is the first horror book to actually freak me out, there is something involving a window that I think about every night while going to bed.
The majority of the book is filled with haunting and building tension, even if things on the surface aren't menacing. I loved it, that being said the ending knocked off two stars for me. I get what the author was intending and understand it, but it felt gimmicky and like he was preaching at me in the last few pages.
