Welcome welcome to Caraval

Deliciously whimsical full of surprisingly dark twists, I truly enjoyed this even though I don’t normally enjoy YA

The world building wasn’t overly complicated and the mystery intriguing enough to make this a true page turned and an easy read

I love Molly the maid, she is such an interesting and complicated character

Unfortunately this short story missed the mark a little bit, unlike the full length Molly the Maid novels, the short story didn’t contain a mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat, the only reason I read this is because I knew it was setting things up for the next instalment in the series.

Even though the mystery was lacking and the ending was very obvious, I still love this cast of characters

Funny story explores themes of love and abandonment in the usual lighthearted but deep and meaningful Emily Henry way.

Henry continues to write witty and nuanced FMCS to match with the slightly damaged golden retriever boyfriends without leaving the story feeling trophy or stale
