I'm all for the taboo romances but I think I draw the line on this one. I mean, stepfather/daughter is my least favorite but I'm fine with it as long as it is done right. And this book didn't. I found it weird that he knows her since she was 5 years old. He's literally the only good parent she knows. And then he started fantasizing about her when she was 16 WTF HELLO??? Him saying he never touched her doesn't justify anything. It's weird. It's creepy. Also, there's no buildup and everything is all over the place. Really tried not to DNF because it's only less than 100 pages and I'm trying not to be a quitter.

Can I just say that I swooned so hard over Finn? I don't mind him calling her 'queen' though. I think it's actually cute and I wouldn't mind if my partner call me that too HEHE. I love that Finn and Avery found each other. They balanced each other out and the chemistry is just undeniable. I def liked those sexy scenes and how Finn is always up to recreating Avery's dreams. I would've wanted a bit more background story about them. But the ending is sweet and sexy though. Oh and I'm REALLY trying hard to forget that scene with Cass because idk I just can't take it? Like Finn I know you know better.

Anyway, I found Palmer so manipulative in the first place and I was right not to give her the benefit of the doubt. Curious about Lennox's book and her love interest because hello how did that happen??

I liked the plot and was even thinking that I might've liked this than the first book until I got into the conflict. I feel like it's a bit of a let down (like that was the reason FR?) and then suddenly it's the epilogue. Also, they spent so much time together but still sucked at communicating. Okay, bye.

The plot got me hooked but I feel like it lacks execution. The writing is just okay though but I see no chemistry between Millie and Ford. I wanted to see what they were like in the past but we were only given the prologue and some references. I also wanted to see how Ford interacted with his team and not just the one guy. Also I found Millie's need to run away in every problem annoying. The ending is a bit rushed too.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 27%.
DNF @ Chapter 21.

The first chapters were okay and a bit cute. But then it got cheesy and cringey. Eventually I was bored and decided not to finish it because it's giving wattpad-y vibes or written by a gradeschooler. It has potential but it lacks in execution.

First few chapters were a bit slow but after that I can't even put it down! Also, I may or may have not breezed through it but I'm not sure why they did what they did. I'm not sure it was even mentioned? But anyway, still a good read! Would've wanted an epilogue too to see how are they doing after a couple of years.

This is a mermaid book so of course I'll be biased and say I loved it. But for real, I really did! This is also an enemies to lovers book and it is done right. Also, our dear Arges has two hearts (and...YES THAT TOO). And we get to have that DP scene we were expecting Sol from Katee Roberts book to have!

This was supposed to be a 5-star read but the ending was a bit of a cliffhanger and now I have to wait for the next book. Ugh. Also I feel like the 2nd book is about Daios and I'm not sure if I'm ready for his redemption arc. Well, anyway.

I think I found my favorite Emily Henry book! I loved the characters and I really felt all the emotions with them. A special mention to Miles who def raised the bar so high that Peter could never reach. I loved how Miles and Daphne fell in love with each other. Also I wish we get Julia's book.

(Also, am I just too engrossed that I missed some nods to the previous books/couples or are there none?)

This is almost a DNF. It got boring in the middle part and I'm more than fine with him calling her "good girl" in bed but he's calling her that like a nickname and it just got cringe-y.
