An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn

2.5

I know 2.5 is low… usually would be a dnf. But to be honest I really liked it!! It was just kind of a low quality book. Their banter was sweet but Benedict is kind of an asshole. Much the same issues I had with romancing Mr Bridgerton, the man always gets his way it feels like. Also, what is with Julia Quinn and the hymen? All these girls ride horses it is a statistical anomaly that they would all still have their hymens. Please stop describing your men “breaking through her maidenhood,” it is disgusting.

Sweet!! Probably deserves a higher rating but I was a bit bored at times… Alexis hall is a genius and this book is so awesome, just could’ve done with a little less Miranda imo.

I love everything Adam de Souza makes. His creations always remind me of Tillie Walden’s in the way they all feel so relatable and familiar.

So much better than I expected. So cute, their banter was very sweet, these two are adorable. My only iffy things are the way they just never really fixed their arguments… and Colin’s misogyny. I suppose both make sense for the time period I guess I’m just used to less misogyny in the show. Also Colin’s anger issues were something that I was not a fan of. Anyways going to eat up the rest of these STAT!

Cute sweet etc!!! I feel probably unfairly proud of myself for buying and reading this on the release day. Emily Henry you little minx, I can’t stop reading everything you write and loving it. Miles is the cutest, the premise is the craziest, I am the obsessed-est. Read it in one sitting; Emily Henry had cracked the code to unputdownable books.
