Thank you to Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley for this advanced reader copy!

I enjoyed reading The Hook - an engaging storyline following the lives of three women who take a risk to get revenge against those who've wronged them. I particularly enjoyed the character development of Katherine, our primary narrator, and the way the story races towards the end as we begin to unravel the many mysteries that have built up. I appreciated the racial diversity and LGBT+ representation in the characters.

This memoir has quite a slow start but I'm glad I stuck with it. The writing is great with powerful connection to Korean culture and food.

I loved this book, especially as an audio book as the characters were read by different people. It's a love letter to books and human connection, and enjoyed the plot unravelling all the way until the end.

I loved this book! The development of the characters and the twists and turns are so well written! The trans representation is also great and so affirming over the course over the whole book. Would recommend!
