A lovely story of love, life, and finding yourself. I will always be grateful for books that tell a story completely different from mine, and yet are #relatable. A good read, even if you’ve already seen the movie.

An awesome book! V sad! V depressing to see what could be in the near future! This storytelling was top notch and the character development was great. Sad book, but compassion throughout.

Another book where all of the main characters are frustrating and I have the perfect solution for all of them. Everyone is so jaded and messed up, everyone needs therapy. A captivating tale and truly gives you a lot to think about. Would recommend as a quick read, but not a feel good novel.

I have no context or personal experience with anything the author talks about in this book. I had to keep reminding myself that this is not an apocalypse story, or fantasy, this kind of story exists in the US today. And yet, Tara’s beautiful writing makes it so I can even start to picture myself in some of these narratives. Compelling writing, good recollection of the facts, and a discerning/fair retelling of the story of her life thus far. She treats even those who hurt her very badly with fairness and consideration.
