Didn't really buy the chemistry between the two MC's and I found them kind of annoying at times. The book definitely dragged at the end just waiting for them to get over themselves and get together already.

I will say the scene towards the end where Amy tested the contacts in Dane's phone had my jaw dropped it was such spectacular revenge

Pros: action packed, crazy reveals, badass female main character, good steam
Cons: too long, convoluted world building, poor character development

Kind of disappointed in this one. The world is really confusing and there were far too many details to keep up with. Took me forever to get into the book. But the wrost thing were the characters. I really liked Bryce but all if the other characters felt thin and distant. The relationship between Hunt and Bryce was pretty unbelievable too, all tell and no show.

Was a three star until we got to the steamy scenes and I had to take a half star off for how I cringed at the dirty talk and anatomy descriptions 🤦. I didn't really buy the attraction between the two characters and Fox's constant insecurities started to feel grating in the second half. He also had some questionable momeents reguarding being posessive and coercive to Hannah that turned me off. But the themes of music (especially soecific song references) and a small seaside town setting was endearing and I appreciated the family relationship and discussion of expectations from family and friends.
