Did not finish book. Stopped at 57%.

The fact that the MMC has a more animalistic appearance and dog like mannerisms was giving me the ick. I tried to keep reading because objectively it did have an adorable quality to it but i just couldn’t. Loved the fact that the FMC was a thicker woman with confidence. I felt like the dialogue and certain parts of the writing style were a bit awkward and forced.

I wouldn’t say the characters are lovable but you do have a set of characters you want to root for although you also wanna throttle them. The characters do fall a little flat and unfortunately are very stereotypical, but i did like getting snapshots of their povs. It’s not exactly what i was expecting but it doesn’t disappoint. Definitely has a lot of suspense and horror but also not so subtle commentary on society and far people are willing to go to get what they want.

I needed a quick read and this was definitely that. It’s not overly complicated and there’s a minimal plot outside of the romance, but the grains that are there are promising. The smut is definitely 10 out of 10. I hate the idea of lizard/dragon people but i was able to see past that. Some tropes to highlight are breeding kinks, and size difference. I don’t think i am going to continue the series.

It had an interesting start but choices were made and i was not a fan. the FMC makes frustrating decisions and i did not care for her pov or character in general. While i understand the love it felt very insta love. Overall I couldn’t bring myself to care for the outcome of either character.

This book had some really good moment but also very annoying moments. There were a lot of inconsistencies with the timeline. The main character made a lot of stupid decisions that just felt forced in order to create drama and tension.
