This book is a great sapphic fluffy rom-com with relatable characters, great spice, and a depiction of queerness that doesn’t make me want to throw my phone out the window. Usually sapphic books have that forced edge of stereotypical tropes and unrealistic dialog, but this one (while definitely not being completely realistic, demon and all) has a tone of authenticity and good representation of other letters in the rainbow alphabet in side characters!

Wonderfully cozy and sweet, it’s great for when you need a quick read that you can sink into or a break between darker or heavier books. I’ll be looking out for more books from this author!

This was such a fun read! I was slightly unsure of how the author was going to pull off a cozy romance with zombies, ghouls, and a decaying MMC but I was quickly sucked into and thoroughly enjoyed it! Every character is well thought out and it’s impossible not to care for them all, the dinner scenes with everyone had such found family cozy vibes I wanted nothing more than to pull up a chair and join in.

It was very refreshing to read a story with a bold, brash, and mostly unapologetic FMC and the representation sprinkled throughout made my week. Definitely gives off Gomez and Morticia’s getting together story, if Morticia occasionally turns around and punches Gomez. The spicy scenes and tension building leading up to the scenes are wonderfully written, although the petals took me aback a few times!

The timeline for the first third of the book was extremely fast and the time period is a bit ambiguous but in my opinion neither one was a major detriment to the story and I certainly enjoyed this book regardless! I’ll be keeping an eye out for more books in this series!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review and was not disappointed!
