An empowering read about transforming terrible experiences into advocacy and a thriving life. As a fellow survivor, I really appreciate this memoir. It reminds me of how the details of all our stories are different, but there are universal ways in which we are connected by our shared survival. A lot of narratives about DV portray us as sad little victims with little self determination, so I love when fellow survivors challenge that narrative with their powerful stories of survival. Thank you Lovern for sharing your story, and your Mummy's, and for the way you have transformed to your experience into advocacy.
