Omg where to begin. I have to start by saying protecting Caroline and Fiona are two of my most favorite books I’ve ever read. But this one? I almost had to DNF. The first 60% of this book I’d have to say was incredibly boring. Then we get to the giant miscommunication trope🤢 which makes no sense because the first 60% of the book he was obsessed with her and then all of a sudden did a 180 and ruined the rest of the book for me. It honestly ruined Abe‘s image in my eyes. One thing this book reassured is that I love wolf and cookie forever and always. I hate to be a hater but Susan girl I wish this one stayed in the drafts. I still love you because you gave me book one and three and I will continue to read every other book you write but I do hope there is none like this ever again.

I loveeee the wilderness/jungle trope but this didn’t exactly hit the way Alaska Wild did (aka my fav book)There was just something missing. I think it could’ve been stretched out more like I’d love to have seen more from the prison tbh. More interactions between them in the prison would’ve made more sense for them to grow that connection. I still enjoyed it and loved her bada$$ moment don’t get me wrong. (Also why did he have multiple co**oms in the jungle??💀)

Well I think I just found my new favorite book. I’m a SUCKER for lost in the wilderness/jungle books and pairing it with danger was CHEFFFFFFFFSSSSS KISSSSSSSSSS😍😍I love a good damsel in distress trope and Boone rescuing her all the time fed my soul. I would like my own Boone please. I will now be reading all the other books this author writes :)

The best parts were definitely the revenge. It was SWEET SWEET REVENGE. Other than that more things annoyed me than I enjoyed.

Wasn’t bad but not great either. Sometimes Zade felt like 2 different people to me.

This series has made my pirates of the Caribbean heart happy. I loved the relationship between Alosa and Ridennnn. It was perfect how the typical dynamic where the man is the captain and protects is opposite here and instead it’s the woman being the captain and protecting him. She was a baddie and riden was perfect❤️

This book pissed me off 85-90% of the time. I couldn't get past
the way Cora treated Dean, it was honestly awful. He was an
angel of a man and it felt like Cora and no one else truly gave af
about what he was going through. She was insufferable I'm
sorry. Dean was the only redeeming part of the story.
Besides what he was forced to do in the basement, Dean had to
kill a man with his bare hands. Cora tries to • herself and
Dean had to be the one to find her and give her CPR. Yet
literally no one acknowledged how awful that must have been to
experience. Don't even get me started on the way Mandy
handled his trauma. She's over here mad they aren't being
intimate and saying ridiculous things like it was "ONLY" 3 weeks
they were held hostage. ONLY???? These sisters both S U C K.

This is a perfect book for anyone who loves a story that takes its
time and builds. The majority of the book starts off going
through Anastasia's childhood which while imperative to the
storyline might not be everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I had
my doubts about the pace until it was all worth it. The build up
from her childhood was so necessary and perfect and the
details mattered.
I truly fell in love with Damien and Anastasia. Their love was so
beautiful and emotional that it had me in a grip. There were
shocking moments, incredibly emotional moments that had me
in tears and extremely beautiful heartfelt moments that made
this such an amazing read
*Also the artwork throughout the whole book was AMAZING and
I loved playing the songs when it prompted. Phenomenal
choice!!*
These characters are raw and flawed. They make mistakes and
have to learn from those mistakes. There's grief and loss and
true tragedy but this time Anastasia gets her happy ending.
