Keeping up with my short and sweet reviews, check out my thoughts on Tilt below👇🏻
Read if you:

My Thoughts:
To me, Tilt was so much more than a pregnant woman wandering the streets of Portland after a massive earthquake. It was a metaphor for motherhood while using pregnancy and a natural disaster as the overarching themes. Motherhood is tumultuous, it is earth shattering; it is an earthquake to your identity. It splits you open and leaves you to figure things out alone. Sure we may have people there to help us along the way, but at the end of the day motherhood can feel like incredibly lonely journey. I feel like I’m rambling a little but I just connected with this story so so much and I hope that I’m getting my thoughts across in a concise manner.
Tilt is raw, emotional, and perfectly paced. It’s one of those stories that drops you in the middle of a characters life and takes you out just as abruptly. I don’t cry from books often but this one had me crying, I felt this one with every fibre of my being.
Thank you so much Simon and Schuster Canada for sending me a complimentary finished copy in exchange for an honest review 🫶🏻
