Honestly I found this a lot harder to follow than other enneagram books. The premise was interesting but something about the format was off putting, and no I don’t mean the apparent rudeness ( wasn’t rude at all imo). Unlike a lot of people I did actually read the whole book and not just the sections on my type, and the author did warn that it would be redundant, so that’s on me. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this to someone who has no knowledge of enneagram, but could be useful for someone wanting to dig a little deeper. Another hit from Ruth Ware! Scientist Lyla agrees to go on a reality tv show to help out her struggling actor boyfriend Nico. Before long they’re on a remote island with other couples competing for a cash. Then a storm knocks the power and they are stranded.
I really enjoyed this one and read it in about two days. The dynamic between each couple and within the couples was compelling. I was interested in how everyone interacted and how they dealt with being stranded together. All in all, this is a solid thriller that Ruth Ware’s fans should enjoy.
