The main trope throughout the book was so hard because the two main characters just were so close the entire time to just get it. 

Some points in the book were a little dragged out and other points were too quick.

I will probably continue this series when the next comes out but it definitely could have been trimmed down a bit. I found myself bored listening to Soyna talk about mood boards all the time.

This book was a great read but it definitely took me a few tries to really start it in multiple formats. I landed on digital so I could make the print bigger. 
I also needed a lot of time time read this book because I had to read it in chunks. It wasn't a book I could just pick up and read a few pages of. 
Prior to this I've only read Sandersons YA scifi books and I'm going to continue the series but I'm not sure where it'll end up for me.

This book was way more focused on Spensa which was fine but I wasn't super into it. I missed the cast from the first book. 
I probably will continue the series but taking a break and reading other things for a bit.
