While I loved the first in this series, I was a bit disappointed by A Touch of Ruin. It felt a bit slow until a little over halfway through, and all the relationship drama almost lost me. But I did enjoy the last third or so of the book, and I am looking forward to reading the next.

I enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would! I bought it on a whim because I love anything Hades x Persephone (so maybe I’m a little biased) having no clue what to expect. I wasn’t sold at first, as the writing is a bit fanfiction-y, and I found the pacing odd at times, but overall I think it’s a good read. I adore how Hades was written, and I fell in love with him fast. I’m excited to read the rest of the series!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. As an aroace person, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this novel as much as I did. It took a moment for me to love the main character, but I ended up loving Lina almost as much as I love Aaron. The writing and character development kept me engaged throughout the whole book. I never found myself bored with it. I even cried toward the end, which no one warned me about. Overall a very cute book that I’d definitely recommend.
