Loved the banter in this book, and the plot, just the smut wasn’t completely my cup of tea

This book was just so perfectly Christmassy 🥹 i read this between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and it was a perfect Christmas read, and managed to pull me out of the reading slump I’ve been in for a month! The descriptions were absolutely gorgeous, I think it has my favourite atmosphere and descriptions from Emma’s writing! It was so sweet, and I wish the Wriggly Whisper was a real place because those hot chocolates sounded HEAVENLY. The characters felt so real, with realistic relationships that aren’t always perfect and wholly positive. My heart goes out to poor Eve and Toby, they’ve both been through so much < / 3
Reading Emma’s books on Christmas Eve has become a sort of tradition now, and I’m loving it! Can’t wait to see what the New Year brings for the ECU 🫶

It was such a cute fun romance book to listen to while putting up Christmas decorations! It was a little insta-lovey, but I didn’t mind it much as this is just a short novella. Definitely would recommend as a quick christmassy read! This book was the one with the biggest Christmas theme out of the whole series

This book is probably my favourite so far in the series, it was genuinely so sweet. I just love a good firefighter romance tbf. I felt the characters in this novella had a little bit more developed relationship that seems a but more realistic. It was a quick and easy listen, without much cringiness.

It was cute at times, just it didn’t really hit hard for me 🤷♀️ maybe it was the whole mincemobile thing, the premise was a little odd to be honest. And the MCs were acting as if they were in their 20s, not their late 30s? It was a quick cute listen, don’t get me wrong, but it was just a mindless kind of book. There wasn’t a lot of development in the character’s relationships- both romantically or platonically.

I listened to the audiobook, and just… eh. There was a few sweet moments, but most of the book I was just cringing. Some of the dialogue was…. Interesting. And not necessarily in a good way. And the descriptions made me feel a little icky idk. This book was not for me, and I don’t think the author’s style is really for me. It just didn’t do it for me, and that’s okay

Super quick and cute read/listen! I listened to this audiobook, and it was quite sweet! Some of the quotes were just 🤭🤭🤭 I honestly loved the flashbacks in this! I just thought it was too fast paced for me, which was to be expected in a novella so it’s just a me problem lol, I just like seeing the relationship being more developed. Also, for a Christmas novella, it wasn’t much to do with Christmas at all really, which was slightly disappointing.
This was my first Ali Hazelwood book, and I definitely will be reading her full-length books in the near future!

What a finale to the Chestnut Springs series! I’m so sad it’s all over now, but seeing everyone get happy endings was so sweet 🥹
This was the only book in the series for me that wasn’t 5 stars, but by no means does that make it bad. It had me giggling and kicking my feet like every Elsie Silver book, but some things just felt either a little cringy or rushed.
Beau and Bailey are such a cute couple!! They were always there for each other and their dynamic together was just PERFECT.
I wish these people were real because the amount of money I would be willing to pay to go to an Eaton dinner would be astronomical
