Jandy Nelson's I'll Give You the Sun, made me feel the whole spectrum of emotions, from agonizing sadness, to zippy happiness.

The novel shifts from narrator to narrator at every chapter, and at the beginning the stories of Noah and Jude seem to be very different although it does seem like both Noah and Jude only have half the story. As the book progresses we begin to see that these two stories intertwine deeply.

The novel was a little hard to get into, I went into this novel knowing almost nothing about it, and the sea of metaphors and symbolism that Noah's perspective brings to the table in early chapters, pulled me under. I am glad to say that this got better as the story went on and we got to see both characters grow both as twins and as individuals.

By far my favorite character in the novel was Jude, unlike some female characters in YA novels today, she was very well developed, and the way she grew throughout the novel was very satisfying.

The ending of the novel was everything that I wanted it to be, wrapping everything up in a nice little bow while still providing some questions about the future of our characters.
