Listened to this since Drew narrates the audiobook. This was a great mix of funny and insightful that I expected. If you enjoy Drew's content, you will have a fun time with this one. No star rating for non-fiction.
There is no way I am supposed to believe these characters are like 40 years old. Also, I would never forgive this man for talking to me like that. Ally, girl, you deserve better than a 45-year-old man-child!
Hannah Bonam-Young does it again! I loved Out on a Limb, so I knew I needed to pick this one up, and boy am I glad I did! I have enjoyed the marriage reconciliation trope before, and this book did it so right!
I love K O'Neill's art style! This book was super cute and cozy. It is definitely targeted to a younger audience, but as a 25-year-old woman, I still had a great time!
Suzanne, I love you, and I would trust you with my life. The HG fandom has been begging for Haymitch's games for over a decade, and this did not disappoint. Based on Haymitch's character in the original trilogy, I knew this would be a difficult read, but I sobbed for a significant amount of this book. If you cry easily like I do, do NOT read this in public. The easter eggs and the real-world commentary are stellar as always! I would love to re-read this whole series and annotate. But I need some time because this one broke me.
This was a fun read! I loved that the monsters only hunted terrible people like Dexter. The hunting scenes were very well written, and I could picture every movement. As a heavy romance reader, the romance aspect of this was not groundbreaking. That was the weakest link imo. I did not swoon over any of the characters or their moments together. I am not sure if I will continue this series, but the release date for book 2 was pushed back, so I may feel differently by then.
