To Love A Thief by Darcy Burke
5.0
I was given a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
For a short book it doesn't lack anything.
I love that Carlyle was a constable and not just someone raised to be a lord, that made him very different from most books. I liked that it was pretty much love at first sight which is a nice change. I laughed at how Joselyn always said what she was thinking, and when she set her mind on something she did it even though she wasn't raised to act like that.
Jagger has become a favorite of mine and I really want to know more about him. There is just something that makes you want to know him. I was expecting the ending, but not how it happened and that was a twist for me. Yes it was easy to figure out who was behind the robberies, but I wanted to know more about his reason for it.

Rogue in Red Velvet by Lynne Connolly

I really enjoyed this book even though it was a bit fast paced. I loved how Connie wanted to run her life and how could you not love Alex and his family. I only wished that the ending was longer when I turned the page I expected to read more because I wanted to know how their married life was.

This book had lots of twists and turns to me. I really wasn't sure if Lydia was going to be a character that I liked, but she turned out to be one I love because of how she changed from her aunt's little shy minion to a very bold girl. I was surprised by everything she said and did. I could not figure out her aunt's real motive for wanting to ruin the Lockwood family.
I don't know what it was about Jason, but I didn't like him until closer to the end of the book. Maybe I expected him to be a little more open about things, but by the end I was starting to like him because he wanted to help his brother and let go of the past.
I didn't figure out who was doing the robberies until after the last one and was shocked by who was killed.
