Nightcrawling is a deeply emotional and heartbreaking novel that gives a voice to so many Black, brown, and queer people whose stories are never told. I listened to the audio version of this book and it was well narrated. Trigger warnings for infant death and rape.

Christmas Presents is the perfect holiday themed thriller that is just in time for the start of spooky season!

For years, the town of Little Valley has been haunted by a cold case involving one survivor, one deceased, and two missing girls. When more young women begin to go missing, the past that Little Valley can’t seem to escape from comes back, and brings along a notorious true crime podcaster who is seeking the truth, and fame.

This book was extremely well paced and each chapter kept me wanting to read the next! There are layered story lines and the family dynamics between the characters make for great bookclub discussions!

I listened to this book via NetGalley audio.

Dogs really are man’s best friend and in The Perfect Date, Joe, an unlikely name for a dog, saves the day! This psychological thriller kept me on my toes and guessing all of the wrong suspects until there was only one option left; I enjoyed each chapter being left on a cliffhanger and the audio narration was well done!

Ari and Caleb’s romance on The Roommates is a whirlwind and the emotional roller coaster they road mimicked the back and forth so many couples actually go through until they feel settled and confident that they made the right choice. Although their love story was the main storyline, the secondary characters were also stars and I would love to see more of their stories throughout this series. This novel was so much more than a romance as it tackled race, death, workplace dynamics, abuse, and more, making it a well rounded storyline with unforgettable characters.
