Sea State: A Memoir by Tabitha Lasley
5.0
Young witty journalist bravely navigates men in men places. It helps that she’s hot. It helps that’s she’s clever. A self sabotaging writer doing all the things we’ve been taught not to do. But by the end the reader is damn glad she did. Tabitha’s writing is compelling in a way where you don’t root for the protagonist but mainly watch with the utter enthusiasm and surreal panic of watching a train derail, and when it’s all over Lesley leaves us wondering if any of it ever really happened at all.
