Love this book, it didnā€™t give 5 star feels but ugh it was nearly there and a great book to get me out of my slump.

All in all, it was an okay book, took me longer than I expected to read it. I love Gennie!! Noah and Shayā€™s relationship lowkey made me cringe at certain moments like the word ā€˜wifeā€™ was repeated way to much for my liking lol.

I want to continue the series especially since this book ended on the cliffhanger of Saint getting bombedā€¦ Iā€™m guessing heā€™s still alive since the next book is called ā€œThe Saintā€ lol

Iā€™m giving this book a 3.75 stars, i donā€™t know it didnā€™t hit me as hard as the first and I think I was more interested in the other couples (Noami/Knox and Julian/Sloan). There was just something that didnā€™t draw me in like usual.

The ending redeemed the story in my eyes, it was a page-turner, and it pulled me in, especially the last 80 pages or so. Juliette and Romaā€™s love story is hard to root for just because the reader doesnā€™t get many contexts into their past and what happened. I wish there was more emphasis on the culture and atmosphere of that time period, but I definitely need to read the next book, because that ending was something else!

At first I started this book because it was about tennis but itā€™s so much more and Iā€™m so glad I read and took the time to annotate it!
