All in all, it was an okay book, took me longer than I expected to read it. I love Gennie!! Noah and Shay’s relationship lowkey made me cringe at certain moments like the word ‘wife’ was repeated way to much for my liking lol.

I’m giving this book a 3.75 stars, i don’t know it didn’t hit me as hard as the first and I think I was more interested in the other couples (Noami/Knox and Julian/Sloan). There was just something that didn’t draw me in like usual.

The ending redeemed the story in my eyes, it was a page-turner, and it pulled me in, especially the last 80 pages or so. Juliette and Roma’s love story is hard to root for just because the reader doesn’t get many contexts into their past and what happened. I wish there was more emphasis on the culture and atmosphere of that time period, but I definitely need to read the next book, because that ending was something else!
