Douglas says this book can be read as a standalone. I beg to differ. If it is classified as a standalone, it should read as a standalone. But it doesn't. I wish she would have at least added context into who these 8 characters were that were thrown at our faces in the first couple pages.

I also feel like in a lot of scenes there could be some clarification about what is going on—some more detail, maybe. Some parts were just confusing, but I worked it out nonetheless.

Overall a good book. I think I'll continue the series.

Holy shit.

I genuinely thought Leeds was going to leave Layla for Willow. A ghost. I hated him. How could you leave your girlfriend for a ghost??? But upon learning about the switched souls, everything made sense.

Colleen Hoover, you know just how to make me hate characters. But you also know exactly how to win them back.

The last two chapters made me want to bawl my eyes out.

Colleen writes some of the best plot twists ever.
