This is my first chick lit novel. I was pleased with the format, and how the stories came together at the very end. Took longer than I would have liked, but at least I didn't want to put it down!

I was disappointed in the fact this novel was slightly predictable, however, the squirrel people was totally morbid and the huge black dude in the mint-green silk suit was a wicked side character. Looking forward to the newest piece by Mr. Moore.

I read this right before I decided to move to Australia for a year. I've always loved the ocean, but never considered living on a sail boat. Well, the irony was, while living in Australia, I worked on a dive boat, so I was out at sea for 7 days every 5 days! What a blast. I loved this book so much, I passed it on to an Aussie friend I made during my stay. Thought they'd get a kick out of the West Indian recipes!

I had heard so much about Bill Bryson, but I was not pleased with the book. I was so disappointed, I never bothered to finish the book, and passed it on to a friend rather than keeping to re-read it later.

I was a little disappointed with this novel. I was expecting more laugh-out-loud humour. The story line was quite entertaining, just not what I've come to expect from Christopher Moore's other howlingly funny novels. Nonetheless, I move on to another one of his, because I'm confident that this might have been a fluke, pardon the pun....
