Coffee with Plato by Donald R. Moor

Great brief overview of the life and musings of Plato told in an interview style format (more like a coffee chat). Becomes a little convoluted but I guess you can expect that from a book that tries to filter philosophy into a crash course meant for beginners like me

Slice of life comics are some of my favorite but I found this one deadly boring to read. Some great insight here and there but it felt pointless to read and confusing at some points, especially with the incorporation of the TV characters

An important book for any daughter of the soil who is embarking on adventures in the world. It felt like I was in the room, listening to Maraire talk. I wish I’d found this book sooner but it’s still as important as I look forward to graduating from my college. A worthy read!

I never try to read books all over again but this is one I’m getting for my bookshelf so I can find the things I missed the first time. The worlds Oyeyemi weaves are fascinating and filled with such colorful characters. Definitely one of my top reads ever

Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World by Cal Newport

Did not finish book.
This book was great in spurring me to think about the role of technology in my life but I found the anecdotes and mini-history lessons that had a distinctly American lens incredibly tiresome. I was not the audience that this book sought to speak to and I recognized that early on. The language surrounding creating new phone habits hearkened a lot to war and soldiers and that was not for me.
