It started out pretty okay and intriguing, then the main duo gets sidelined HARD in exchange for paragraphs of background info, uninteresting conversations/tangents, and weird exchanges. The climax definitely was NOT it for this book to be about Armageddon.

A well written book with an interesting premise. While the story itself is a little meh at times, near the end I did tear up a bit. I’d have liked more insightful reflections on her past since she’s lived for centuries, instead Addie was very plain to have lived through wars, revolutions, and innovations.

She says she tries to redo what she didn’t like about Twilight, but when you read it, it’s almost like she changed nothing except their genders. Beau is blank. Edythe is meh. Charlie is still cool though.

A lovely magical fantasy with some hints of science. Although there are some loose threads of concepts that should have been explored more before the book ended. Still an enjoyable read and would recommend but I likely won’t come back to the book for a year or two.

A lovely murder mystery novel with a clever twist. I’m gonna be honest: I thought Molly did it and just blanked it out of her head and Rodney’s behest. However, even though it become clear whodunnit, the bringing them to justice is what really captivated me. Molly, who is likely on the spectrum but am still unsure about, finding her strength in confronting how different she is from the world and others around her was a lovely mirror to myself. I’ve also struggled with understanding others meanings and intentions, and seeing Molly come to her own and understanding the advice her Gran gave, made me love her to bits. I’m looking forward to checking out the second installment and joining Molly again.

However, I still didn’t give a 5 star because of the twist at the literal very end with Mrs. Black. That bit was inoffensive, but very confusing.
