This was a sure fire way to ensure that I remain scared of the circus. The ending was a little too "happy" for me but still a really good attention gripping story!!! Cant wait to read the last book in the I Found Horror series!!!!

This was WOW! Its perfectly creepy and claustrophobic. It heightens and pulls at your fear of puppets/muppets/dummies. It takes you into your feels with nostalgia of childhood memories and family. This was impossible to put down and I am still recovering from having read it.

I kinda hoped for more gore, more grotesque scenes, more violence... but as someone who has been in an abusive and toxic marriage I can relate to Em. This is overall a cute quick read.

Its considered splatterpunk or extreme horror and I think it fits more under bizarre short horrors.
This book was very slow and often confusing as it feels very "listy". Like someone recounting events on a police report, just a brief mention of an event or brief conversation but not actually telling a story that you can get immersed in. Unfortunately this writing style just is not for me.

I am not a romance girlie. But one of my book clubs chose this book and the cheapest way to get it without being on a waitlist was audible. Im happy I got the audiobook because the performance is what really gave the story the extra umppf. I think that the story was cute, I like the serial killer theme as it made the basic plot at least a little closer to the genres I like to read in. I may even willingly get the next book to see how the saga continues. Well written with out the smut being the entire book.

This book has easily become one of my top 5 all time favorite books!!! It has so much nostalgia in it and a beautiful nod to classic horror movies. There is a beautiful balance of fantasy, spooky, adventure, and friendship. I spent the entire time glued to this book routing for the group of friends and wanting to strangle them when they would mess up. The monsters are amazing and there is such a huge mix of them that theres a monster for everyone lol. Adam did amazing with this story and I am so excited for the next installment to continue the journey.

I should have finished this in one sitting as it isnt very long, but life and headaches happen. So, Aron Beauregard is one of my favorite extreme horror authors, but this one didnt do it for me. It wasnt horrible but it was hard to get through. I feel like this may have been a weird dream or nightmare that he had and then tried to relay it into a story. Its an interesting take on afterlife, and a very weird "love story" where no one lives happily ever after. I still love Aron Beauregard's writing, just not over the moon with this one. Sorry Aron!
