I thought it was a really good book. A fantasy thriller-ish book that I was not expecting, based on the first 7 chapters. It gave you LGBT+, teen romance, battles against patriarchy and misogyny; just a LOT! I'm really interested to see what happens to Manuela's mother, and I hope the author expands on that storyline more in "Cazadora".

Really great start to the series. Also, a really good book if you want something quick to read.

I know a lot of people give Jodi Picoult shit for her books (the topics, characters, etc.), but one thing I WILL say is that she does RESEARCH before starting on these stories. And I can really appreciate that.

Basically a modern day version of Jim Jones and the "Kool-Aid" story.

In the beginning (at 35% in), I was still on the fence about if I actually liked this book or not. It was nice, but I wasn't sure where it was going. By 50% I knew; THIS was a great read. And I strongly believe either Tate, or Chase's wife knocked him off.
