Another second chance romance with minimum groveling and weak willed heroine. Also full offense to the author but what was she thinking making the brothers helped the ML jilting his bride (their SISTER mind you). I was so bothered by the side characters (the brother and their wives) interfering in the romance that I can’t enjoy anything.

Five stars. Excellent slow burn. Excellent banters. Love the romance and characters. It was truly a perfect historical romance book to me.
Usually romance books, especially historical romance, focused entirely on the male lead’s traumatic past while the female lead’s role is to heal him. I love that this book focused on both Amelia and Grayson’s painful pasts. The two of them got an equal amounts of focus and care, I got emotional when I read the climax to both of their personal arcs.
I’m genuinely in love with Amelia and Grayson’s love story and I’ll forever be glad that I read this as ebook.

Sorry but this is too mediocre. It’s too boring, it feels as if the author tried to talked about way too much. Queer celebrity, celebrity pressure, parasocial relationship, social media toxicity, fetishization of gay men and lack of intersectionality in queer community. So much topic yet everything was talked about like a textbook.
Also no offense to boyband fans but I DO look down on them and I’m not gonna change my mind. No it’s not because they centered around teenage girls, but it’s because their fandom is usually the most toxic for the most talentless group of men. Just a pile of misogynistic shit.

Probably because it was too short but I found the plot and the characters too shallow. The art and the character designs are beautiful though so I still enjoyed reading this

Kristin Cashore's writing style has this calm feeling in it. It feels like the writing in fairy tale that you would read to your child at night. Unfortunately I'm not in the right mood for this. I feel bored and unable to focus on the story. Not to mention, the romance here used the enemies to lovers trope and I fucking HATE that trope.
