textbook romantasy novel, with minor differences (no major age gap between human/fae, nonbinary/poc characters), but still had a predictable plot. fantasies where a majority of the book is about the flaws of the fmc/mmc and less about the magical plot lines ultimately fall flat for me and don’t keep me engaged. I think it only kept me reading because I was waiting for some big reveal that never came.
