European white girl incoming:

I liked the message of the book, although not the execution. Some parts were dragging, like how she talks about how cute her parent are.

It has some nice points, but I think it missed some nuience. Also, I get that it is a YA so there should be a clean ending and stuff, but it doesnt really resonate with the story.

Overall 3.5. It was fine. I think it is good that young people are reading this.

Sidenote : performance on the audiobook was great

I did not get far, but I just didnt get into it. I wanted to try it because Tom Hanks narrated it, and who doesn't love him? I guess this genre / style / topic just isn't for me. Oh well.
