The story itself is fascinating but the presentation is very "busy" - lots of atmospheric noises and overlaping voices that a meeting would produce that distracts from the story. I usually enjoy the GraphicAudio productions but this one missed the mark for me.

I always hope that I can create a truly different and scary monster. P. Djeli Clark just destroyed my scariest monster with a casual glance. This book was terrific - unique monsters, strong characters, and a struggle that's still relevant. Spend the time to read this. You won't regret it.

Wow, the twists and turns this took in the last 25-30% of the book were amazing! Great world building, intriguing characters, fantastic storytelling.
