Immortal Dark by Tigest Girma

I found myself loving the dark academia setting in the beginning and the story introducing the characters. Then the plot went all over the place to the point where I got lost on what was going on. When I got to 60% I stopped caring about the characters and the story because it felt like it was going no where. I enjoyed the author's writing style and I am impressed this is her debut novel. I will continue the story just to see if her story telling gets better but this first installment disappointed my expectations. It did however made me want to re-read some old favorites in this same setting like Vampire Academy, Morganville Vampires, Marked, Shadow Falls, and Bloodlines.
