It was a slow read for the first half, trying to figure out what was happening.

I enjoyed the multiple POVs.

It felt paced differently to Killing Floor, but still enjoyed it and have already bought the next reacher book.

Taylor Jenkins Reid write emotions and relationships so well!

I love the multiple POV storyline, how the book is structured in 24 hours. I think it made it so interesting.

Highly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo a bit more but Malibu rising was a great read!

Looking forward to stories about the band and the music.
Found it spent more time on his Christian faith and listening to God.

Great Valentines Day book.

Taylor does a fantastic job of writing emotions, especially with the main character.

Listening to the audiobook was fantastic. Getting to hear Tom’s impressions, laughter, sniggers made it so entertaining.

The book is a wonderful journey through Tom’s experiences as a kid actor from before Potter, throughout filming Potter and some cool behind the scenes stories, to his life after Potter.

Tom does a wonderful job at explaining her journey and expressing his feelings in the life after Potter and I have so much respect for him.

If you love Tom or are a Harry Potter fan, this is a must read.

This book will make you hungry and likely go out and try to find Ube Extract from your local Asian grocery store.

The author has a disclaimer at the beginning that sets the tone for light hearted crime novel.

I think the plot is… not great. There are a lot of holes and parts that just don’t make sense for the main character to be doing or the process of a criminal investigation.

In saying all that, the crime part I believe is secondary to the wonderful culture of the main characters family. It brings a warm, wholesome Filipino-American hug with descriptive writings of food, a drizzle of family guilt and a pinch of body shaming.

It’s an easy read, don’t take it too seriously and enjoy the Tita Rosie family.

But I did have flashbacks of family members criticising you.

I gifted this book to family and friends. I love it. I enjoyed the anecdotal stories.

It's such a heart-warming, wonderful story I urge anyone to read it. Go to the library and borrow this or if you can afford it, buy a copy!
