first i would like to say to please PLEASE read trigger warnings before reading this book as there is some very sensitive material. second i absolutely loved this. it was pretty heavy and dark at times but heartwarming when it came to the found-family trope aka a trope that i am a huge sucker for. i just cant wait to read the next book!
this has got to be one of my FAVORITE books i’ve ever read. everything about it was perfect in my eyes. having a gay latinx transgender male main character written by a queer latinx transgender person is absolutely amazing and i am SO happy to see the representation building. also yadriel and julian’s dynamic was one of the best things i’ve ever read i just enjoyed this novel so much i would rate it higher than 5 stars if i could
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

i actually enjoyed this one quite a bit, even more so than carry on. roadtripping across america, running into chaos on the way, meeting a new significant character, it was very fun to read! i honestly didn’t expect to like it as much as i did. it may not be everyones cup of tea as a sequel but i do recommend giving it a chance, maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
i read less than 100 pages so i cant say i gave this book a fair shot but i found it hard to want to pick back up and continue reading. it’s unfortunate because i was really looking forward to this novel but i guess my uninterestedness won this round
i do hope sometime in the future i become curious again and finish the book. i absolutely LOVE the idea of a lesbian witch because 1) lesbians are rad and 2) witches are also rad and the reviews seem so positive that i hope i give it the fair shot it deserves. but for now it couldn’t quite hold my attention long enough
first, i want to heavily advise reading the trigger warnings before reading this. i went into this book not having a clue what it was even about and i’m lucky that nothing was triggering for me but it might be for someone else. that being said, this book was dark. a lot darker than i was expecting it to be. and i absolutely loved it. i was hooked from the moment i started reading it and hooked the moment i finished it!
I liked this book a decent amount. I can say that there were times where I was heavily invested in what was happening and other times where I felt bored and underwhelmed. Personally, I think it had to do with the constant switching of POVs that made me feel that way. But the one thing that I absolutely loved about this book was Simon and Baz’s dynamic and their relationship. It was really nice to see their progress!
I was hooked the moment i started reading it. i never wanted to put the book down it was written so beautifully and the attachment i grew toward the main characters was like no other. i can safely say that this is my favorite book i’ve ever read! i would give it more than 5 stars if i could
