I will never, EVER get tired of grumpy orcs. Do you hear me? NEVER!!!! While their meeting is confusing and the world of Faeda needs some getting used to, I absolutely adore our characters. I think they're perfect for each other and the story itself, you can tell the author has put a lot of thought and care into it.

Miranda's trauma is written really well in my opinion. Its realistic and not pretty or romanticized and I really really like that.

I actually really enjoy that its not super long either, I don't mind reading a single story in parts as long as each book isn't over 400 pages. Their story of course, ends on a cliffhanger but one i'm all too excited to get into with the next book!

there is not a single book from this series so far that I have not absolutely adored. I thought Remi and Zydon were my favorites but they do not come CLOSE to Maeve and Benham. I finish every book wishing we were given 100 more pages to read and I think I'll continue to do so until the series comes to its end.

While I love grumpy x sunshine (more than a normal person should) nothing will ever EVER top grumpy x shy. NOTHING. It hit so well in this book i never wanted it to end.

Something I also very much enjoyed about this one is how it wasn't necessarily focused on a running plot through the series or a short one created for the book specifically, rather, the book was instead focused on the couples relationship and coming to love and care for each other in the way they need - which I think is a perfect book to throw into the middle of an alien romance series. This series so far has been so unique and fun to read, I already cant wait for the next book

i love them i love them i love them i love them.

okay look, I know that every time a book in this series is released I scream and shout in my review about how THIS BOOK IS THE BEST but I genuinely have to say that this book is definitely top 3 in the series as a whole. The story to the minimal but thorough continuation of the plot and world building just makes me fall more and more in love with this series.

I'm such a sucker for age gaps, and maybe thats why i love these two so much but i genuinely think Lyonne writes some of the best angst and yearning into this series, I love this book and series, I absolutely cant wait to see where the rest of the books lead.

very cute, nerdy, steamy monster romance featuring a hunky chunky MMC which i LOVE and have been WAITING FOR. We need more fat MMCs and we need them now! My only complaint is how long it took them to get together and figure their shit out. There was literally zero reason for any of it to have taken as long as it did in my opinion but the book was fun and quirky regardless.
