Vacationing with the Vampire in Hallow's Cove by Lyonne Riley
5.0
One author I am too excited to bring into 2025 is Lyonne, I love picking up her new books because you can FEEL the dedication and care put into them. Vacationing with the Vampire is no different.
Barnaby made me want to back hand him for at LEAST the first 3 chapters and then drop kicked for a few of the middle chapters and somewhere in the last few he definitely deserved to step onna few legos. But he was forgiven quickly, he’s grumpy and an idiot but a very lovable grumpy idiot. It just proves that men are stupid at all ages even if they’re over 100 years old…
I think Maisie is one of my favorite FMC’s ever written by Lyonne, no filter, says how she feels when she feels it and is DEEPLY curious all the time. She’s so fun and I loved reading how she dealt with getting accustomed to Hallows Cove and its residents.
The story is well told and I think it’s a great beginning to this small monster town, it has enough world building and character development to keep you interested throughout. It was fun to watch Maisie meet each side character had me questioning who we might see in our future stories with this series
