Helene's World: Helene Desportes of Seventeenth-Century Quebec by Susan McNelley

Great for genealogy nerds with Quebecois fam. It gives historical color and detail to their lives, particularly the lives of women.

Sparrow by James Hynes

Slow. I mean: slow. Events that move the story along are far between, but the characters are compelling. I'm unclear on how they achieved their end result. 

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

I'm WWIIed out, and didn't expect to love this book, but hot damn! This was a wonderful story. And Netflix should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to it.
