In the Lonely Hours by Shannon Morgan

This was a little bit of a slow burn, there was a couple twists I saw coming. I really didn't know what I was getting into with it, so for that I really liked it. Once it took off, it really took off. The writing was a bit atmospheric which hooked me in even when it was slower.

This had it's problems and I've read books with similar story lines, but overall I had a good time with it

My first Ali Hazelwood read was like 🤯 wow I love this. I'm intermittently a more discerning reader and even though I've eaten up everything of hers I've read and liked it all.... This was on another level. It felt like she had a bit and ran with it. This took her best and shook it up, it felt refreshing and great. I loved the complexity of the characters and this *really* worked as a dual POV. I think the smut level really worked with the storytelling and loved both mcs inner monologue.  I love smart idiots.

This is pretty good. I knew going in it was about a college girl getting recruited into a mysterious group and then murders would happen. I didn't expect it to be quite so much about her emotional journey, so it felt a little slow at times but overall I enjoyed it.

Thinking about all the historic women who's stories were hidden the way Elizabeth's was is crazy. This was very engaging and compelling
