“There’s a fine line between loving someone and controlling someone. If you love someone, you want to see them happy even if you’re not the reason for it.”
This is the story of Kanishka who is in a toxic relationship with Vivaan. But she is not aware of it and misunderstood his abusive behavior with love and care. Vidit, his colleague helped her to discover herself and the true meaning of companionship. Soon, both starts enjoying the company of each other. They feel like soulmates, but destiny has decided something else for them. It is impossible to stay together forever because Vidit is already engaged. Will Kanishka move on with the current dilemma?
First, poems in the middle of chapters took my heart away. They are like a band-aid for a healing heart. Symptoms and the trauma of a person born in an emotionally abusive relationship are described in detail, which makes this read insightful. The climax of the story is very thought-provoking, it creates many questions and realizations in your mind.
Overall, it is an emotional and insightful read.

“Believing in YOURSELF even if no one else does requires a special kind of power.”
This a short and inspirational self-help read. The author makes it a very interesting read by sharing his failures, fears, and challenges she faces to follow her inner compass. This book shows me why I need to use my inner voice to identify what I truly need, my desires and how to use them to create a purpose.
There is a questionnaire after each chapter, which helps to reflect our personal and professional habits. Despite being a short and quick read, it delivers valuable lessons on how to find magic in logic.
This is a well-crafted read for contemporary readers.

When we feel lost, we do need inspiration or motivation to understand the situation. This is a book which will help you to understand the different life situations.
Dhi (the author's alter ego) narrates different emotions, which one can go through his life journey. The illustrations with the quotes are perfectly blending. I find the concept of the book unique.
My fav quote from the book:
“One’s knowledge is the product of one’s mind; for instance, the wise take away a lesson from a story while the rest- entertainment”.

This is a murder mystery with romance woven into it. The book starts with the love story of two couples Nisha and Dhruv,(2016) and Srinivas and Rimi(1999) belong to different cities and eras. Nisha and Dhruv work in the same office and love start blooming between them. But Nisha starts having nightmares and facing strange incidents and calls after Dhruv came into her life. Is Dhruv the right choice for her?
Nivas and Rimi school love birds. Nivas is a possessive lover, while Rimi is a free spirit girl. Things get bitter between them and their relationship comes to an end.
Later this romantic read changed into a murder mystery when there is a series of murders. The connection between these two couples will blow your mind.
The plot is strong and tightly constructed with an excellent writing style. Overall, this is a read which will not allow you to put the book aside.

He asked for a second chance. Will Shreya give him a second chance? Will she get betrayal again? will Ronak express his feelings to Meera?
I awe to the friendship of Meera and Shreya. Meera is a true friend who stood beside Shreya in every situation. The book is well written, and the characters are so realistic, and engaging in dialogue throughout the story. Overall, it is a good romantic read.

Purgatory Voyage is a fascinating book that retells the epic story of Indian Mythology related to after-death life.
Plot:
This plot sets in 925 AD, when Jujhoti-Khand kingdom of Bindu Dev was facing drought calamity for 5 years. The king tried every ritual to save his kingdom, but all went in vain. Then one day his advisor told him about the purgatory voyage to Yam planet at Bharmpura, Himanchal. He told it is believed that if someone wants to get rid of his sins being alive, he had to go through the cave for a purgatory voyage to the kingdom of Yamraj (the God of death) for 12 days, and his wish gets fulfilled. The king decided to go for this religious ritual, but a villager named Kalidas (Kali protagonist of the read) accompany him on the journey just for his curiosity to discover the Yam planet. It is believed that once people return from the voyage they forget all memories of the Yam planet. But, fortunately, Kalidas remembered all the things he has gone through.
My thoughts:
The story is related to Garuda Purana, based on one’s karma, and their reward or punishment. I love the blend of historic and geographic facts, ancient culture, and practices during Navratri and Deepawali. I like the “Kali” character. In several situations when he is describing each day of the voyage journey, I found his rational thoughts very interesting.
It is a well-written book and the author reaches out to the readers with ease. The style of writing is simple and elegant. I would recommend this read to mythological fans all around.

“Some part of our destiny is gifted to us. Other’s we need to make happen.”
This is my first reading experience of travelogue. I find this an enjoyable read. The authors beautifully describe their travel journey with facts and personal experiences. Their journey is not only entertaining but also an inspiration for me as I also want to explore many places, but something holds me to go for it. they not only share their happy memories but also shared the anxiety during planning, to convince the parents (a major part) and language issue, etc. My favorite chapter of the read is “kindness is like a cup of coffee”.
Overall, it is an enjoyable and informative read.

“Set empathetic goals that everyone aspires to achieve.”
As the book title says, “the unexpected leader”, the plot holds a lot of unexpected things. There are many characters who hold their own short stories and interconnect with each other in the read. The main plot revolves around Ajeeth, CEO of a famous coffee chain “Good morning Inc.” he is a man with visionary skills. He gets fascinated by one deal approached by three youngsters, to replace all the managers of companies with “AI”. With this decision starts corporate politics and connects all the characters of the read. Is it a good idea to replace human beings with technology?
The whole story talks about aspirations of a person, leadership, use of new technologies in the corporate world, office politics, etc. I find the story very different and interesting. Though there are many characters in the read, the author craft each character very beautifully.
Overall, it is an average read with an interesting story.
