Great insight provided of the background of the Duncan Brothers. The love story of Chippy and LC os beautiful and provides so much insight to the television series.

This book started off a little slow for me. Took me a while to become interested. But overall this is a great love story of second chances. It provides the viewpoint of Yasmine and Joshiah which I love because it actually provides insight on his heartbreak.

Good book but it took a lot to keep me focused. I typically read books in two days.
Christmas With The Okafors: An Ethic Holiday Edition by Ashley Antoinette

This was so beautiful. I love how Morgan has grown as a character through motherhood. I’m not really liking Bash’s mom Christiana or this whole little set up. I don’t like Morgan feeling silenced and I hope she does let Alani or Ethic know if she needs them to correct some things. I also love how Lenika checked Christiana at the Christmas dinner. Good sis was gone show some respect in Alani’s house!

Baby this book was spicy! I love it. I love that Derek still love Ginger regardless of her background. I wish the book would have given more background information on Derek. I felt like everything revolved around Ginger and Willa.

This was a suspenseful read. Two sisters Kennedy and Devan. As usual the sisters have what some would call a sibling rivalry or tension towards one another. However, once the siblings are adults everything changes.
This book jumps from past to present. I usually don’t like when authors do that however, it provided insight or background of the chapter before.

Butterfly by Ashley Antoinette

Another page turner. I would definitely recommend reading the Ethic series before reading Butterfly. The evolution of Ahmeek and Morgan is beautiful. However, i feel that she will turn into Raven because the Frederick’s seem a little vindictive. The Frederick’s are entitled. Aria is always there and she’s that friend that takes no shit. The evolution of Aria and Isa relationship is something that I’ve been looking forward to. I hate when he f’d up. However, I am glad they are getting it together. Now since Messiah is back and has revealed his self to Ethic I wonder how they will inform Morgan. Because she’s falling for Ahmeek.
